It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not wish to encounter the enemy in battle, but rather ask Allah for safety and well-being. And when you do meet the enemy, then remain steadfast and remember Allah abundantly, and when they shout and cry out, you remain silent."
