باب في بَيَانِ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الصَّلاَةُ جَامِعَةٌ» :
Chapter: Explanation of the Prophet’s Call: "Prayer is Gathered"
Hadith Number: 2485
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب، حدثنا الاسود بن شيبان، عن خالد بن سمير، قال: قدم علينا عبد الله بن رباح الانصاري، وكانت الانصار تفقهه. قال: حدثنا ابو قتادة: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم"بعث جيش الامراء، قال: فانطلقوا فلبثوا ما شاء الله، ثم صعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المنبر، فامر فنودي: الصلاة جامعة".
Khalid bin Sameer said: Abdullah bin Rabah Ansari came to us. The Ansar considered him a jurist. He said: Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent out an army of commanders. They went and stayed as long as Allah willed. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and gave an order, so it was announced: «الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةٌ» meaning the prayer is ready.
