باب: «لاَ تُقْطَعُ الأَيْدِي في الْغَزْوِ» :
Chapter: Hands Are Not Cut Off in Battle
Hadith Number: 2528
حدثنا بشر بن عمر الزهراني، حدثنا عبد الله هو: ابن لهيعة، حدثنا عياش بن عباس، عن شييم بن بيتان، عن جنادة بن ابي امية، قال: لولا اني سمعت ابن ارطاة، يقول: قد سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: "لا تقطع الايدي في الغزو لقطعتها".
Junadah bin Abi Umayyah said that if I had not heard Sayyiduna Busar bin Artaat (may Allah be pleased with him), I would have cut the hand. He used to say that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he used to say: "Do not cut the hand (of a thief) during expeditions and jihad."
