Abu Murrah, the freed slave of Aqeel bin Abi Talib, said: He heard from Sayyida Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her): She narrates that she went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the year of the conquest of Makkah and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! My brother from my mother’s side (Sayyidina Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him) thinks that he will kill the son of Hubayrah whom I have granted protection. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:O Umm Hani! Whoever you have granted protection, we have also granted protection.(That is, Sayyidina Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, is not permitted to kill him.)
