From the Book of Wills
باب مَنْ قَالَ لاَ تَشْهَدْ عَلَى وَصِيَّةٍ حَتَّى تُقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ:
Chapter on those who said do not witness a will until it is read to you
Hadith Number: 3312
اخبرنا اخبرنا سعيد بن المغيرة، حدثنا مخلد، عن هشام، عن الحسن، قال: "لا تشهد على وصية حتى تقرا عليك، ولا تشهد على من لا تعرف".
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Do not bear witness to any will until it is recited to you, and do not testify for someone whom you do not know.
