باب فَضْلِ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ:
Chapter on the virtue of reciting the Quran
Hadith Number: 3348
حدثنا جعفر بن عون، حدثنا ابو حيان، عن يزيد بن حيان، عن زيد بن ارقم، قال: قام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوما خطيبا فحمد، الله واثنى عليه، ثم قال:"يا ايها الناس، إنما انا بشر يوشك ان ياتيني رسول ربي، فاجيبه، وإني تارك فيكم الثقلين: اولهما كتاب الله فيه الهدى والنور، فتمسكوا بكتاب الله، وخذوا به"فحث عليه ورغب فيه، ثم قال:"واهل بيتي، اذكركم الله في اهل بيتي، ثلاث مرات".
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon. He praised Allah and glorified Him, then said: "O people! I am a human being. Soon, the messenger of my Lord (the angel of death) will come to me and I will accept (his call). I am leaving among you two weighty things: the first is the Book of Allah, in it is guidance and light. So hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it firmly." Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged and urged towards the Book of Allah. Then he said: "And my family (Ahl al-Bayt), I remind you by Allah regarding my family, I remind you by Allah regarding my family, I remind you by Allah regarding my family." He said this three times.

Hadith Number: 3349
حدثنا جعفر بن عون، انبانا الاعمش، عن ابي وائل، قال: قال عبد الله: "إن هذا الصراط محتضر، تحضره الشياطين ينادون: يا عباد الله، هذا الطريق، فاعتصموا بحبل الله، فإن حبل الله القرآن".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This path is surrounded, the devils have surrounded it (i.e., they call towards the path of misguidance) and they call out, "O Abdullah" (and in another narration, "O servants of Allah"), "this is the right path." So hold firmly to the rope of Allah, and the rope of Allah is the Noble Qur'an.

Hadith Number: 3350
اخبرنا ابو المغيرة، حدثتنا عبدة، عن خالد بن معدان، قال: "إن قارئ القرآن والمتعلم تصلي عليهم الملائكة حتى يختموا السورة، فإذا اقرا احدكم السورة، فليؤخر منها آيتين حتى يختمها من آخر النهار كي ما تصلي الملائكة على القارئ والمقرئ من اول النهار إلى آخره".
Khalid bin Ma'dan said: Indeed, for the one who recites the Qur'an and the one who learns the Qur'an, the angels continue to supplicate for them until they finish the surah. Therefore, the one who recites and learns the Qur'an should leave two verses and recite them at the end of the day, so that the angels continue to supplicate for the reciter and the teacher from morning till evening.

Hadith Number: 3351
اخبرنا الحكم بن نافع، انبانا حريز، عن شرحبيل بن مسلم الخولاني، عن ابي امامة: انه كان يقول: "اقرءوا القرآن، ولا يغرنكم هذه المصاحف المعلقة، فإن الله لن يعذب قلبا وعى القرآن".
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Recite the Qur'an; do not be deceived by these hanging copies of the Mushaf, for Allah Almighty will never punish the heart in which the Qur'an resides (i.e., the one who has memorized the Qur'an).

Hadith Number: 3352
حدثنا عبد الله بن صالح، حدثني معاوية بن صالح، عن سليم بن عامر، عن ابي امامة الباهلي، قال: ": اقرءوا القرآن، ولا يغرنكم هذه المصاحف المعلقة، فإن الله لا يعذب قلبا وعى القرآن".
The translation of this narration is the same as mentioned above. In some narrations, there is «وعاءً للقرآن» . That is, the heart which is the abode of the Qur'an.

Hadith Number: 3353
اخبرنا محمد بن يوسف، حدثنا مسعر، عن معن بن عبد الرحمن، عن ابن مسعود، قال: "ليس من مؤدب إلا وهو يحب ان يؤتى ادبه، وإن ادب الله القرآن".
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Every instructor (one who teaches manners) wishes that his manners be adopted, and the manners of Allah Almighty are the Noble Qur'an.

Hadith Number: 3354
حدثنا سهل بن حماد، حدثنا شعبة، عن عبد الملك بن ميسرة، عن ابي الاحوص، قال: كان عبد الله، يقول: "إن هذا القرآن مادبة الله، فمن دخل فيه، فهو آمن".
Abu Al-Ahwas said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Verily, this Qur'an is the banquet of Allah; whoever comes to it is safe and protected.

Hadith Number: 3355
اخبرنا يحيى بن حماد، حدثنا ابو عوانة، عن الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد، عن عبد الله، قال: "من احب القرآن، فليبشر".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Glad tidings are for the one who loves the Qur'an. (That is, he should rejoice.)

Hadith Number: 3356
حدثنا يعلى، حدثنا الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد، عن عبد الله، قال: "من احب القرآن، فليبشر".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Glad tidings are for the one who loves the Qur'an. (That is, he should rejoice.)

Hadith Number: 3357
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، انبانا همام، عن عاصم بن ابي النجود، عن الشعبي: ان ابن مسعود كان يقول: "يجيء القرآن يوم القيامة فيشفع لصاحبه، فيكون له قائدا إلى الجنة، ويشهد عليه، ويكون له سائقا إلى النار".
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: On the Day of Resurrection, the Noble Qur'an will come and intercede for its reciter, and will guide him towards Paradise, will bear witness for him, and will drive him away from Hell.
