Habib bin Ubaid said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: Whoever recites one thousand verses, a qintar of reward is written for him, and that qirat is greater than the qirat of your world, meaning: there is no comparison or equality between it and the qirat of this world.

Sayyiduna Tamim Dari and Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Whoever recites a thousand verses in one night, a qintar (of reward and merit) will be written for him, and the qirat of this qintar is better than the qintar of the world and whatever is in it. In addition to this, Allah Almighty will grant that person as much reward as He wills.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Whoever recites one thousand verses, a qintar of reward will be written for him, the weight of which is equal to a very large hill.”
