Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) has been given a melodious voice like the family of Dawud."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came and heard the recitation of a companion. He asked: "Who is this?" It was said: Abdullah bin Qais (Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him). He said: "He has been given a melodious voice from the Psalms of the family of Dawud."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Adorn the Qur’an with your voices.”

Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:“Recite the Qur’an with a good voice, for a good voice makes the Qur’an more beautiful.”
