The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember his Lord is like the living and the dead." [

And in Muslim, the wording is:
"The example of the house in which Allah is remembered and the house in which Allah is not remembered is like the living and the dead." [

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the best of your deeds, which is the purest in the sight of your Lord, which raises you to the highest ranks, which is better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than that you meet your enemy and strike their necks and they strike your necks?" The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Why not!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The remembrance of Allah, the Exalted."

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says:“I am as My servant thinks of Me. When he remembers Me, I am with him. If he remembers Me in his heart, I remember him in My heart. If he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than it. If he draws near to Me by a handspan, I draw near to him by an arm’s length. If he draws near to Me by an arm’s length, I draw near to him by two arm’s lengths. If he comes to Me walking, I come to him running.”

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah! The commands of Islam have become too many for me, so tell me about an act which I can hold firmly (and practice consistently). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Let your tongue always remain moist with the remembrance of Allah.”

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a single letter from the Book of Allah, for him is a good deed in return, and each good deed is multiplied tenfold (i.e., he will receive ten times the reward). I do not say that «الم» is a single letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter."

It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We were on a journey when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and said:“Which one of you would like to go early in the morning to Bathan or Aqeeq (the names of two valleys) and bring back two large-humped she-camels without committing any sin or severing the ties of kinship?”We said: O Messenger of Allah! All of us would like that. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Does not one of you go early in the morning to the mosque and learn or recite two verses from the Book of Allah, and that is better for him than two she-camels, and three verses are better than three she-camels, and four verses are better than four she-camels, and however many verses there are, they are better than the same number of she-camels.”
