Description of fasting while traveling
Hadith Number: 389
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن خلاد الدورقي القاضي ، حدثنا محمد بن عباد بن آدم ، حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي ، عن ايوب السختياني ، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة ، ان حمزة بن عمرو الاسلمي، قال: يا رسول الله،" إني اسرد الصوم، ولا افطر، افاصوم في السفر؟، فقال: إن شئت فصم، وإن شئت فافطر"، لم يروه عن ايوب، إلا عبد الوهاب مسلسل الآباء
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Hamza bin Amr Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! I observe continuous fasting, so should I fast while traveling as well? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, then fast; if you do not wish, then do not fast."
