Description of the ranks of Paradise and the virtue and greatness of Umar and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 863
حدثنا الحسن بن سليمان ابو معشر الدارمي ، حدثنا ابو الربيع الزهراني ، حدثنا حفص بن ابي داود ، عن الهيثم بن حبيب الصيرفي ، عن عطية العوفي ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:" إن اهل الدرجات العلا ليراهم من هو اسفل منهم كما ترون الكوكب الدري في افق السماء، وإن ابا بكر وعمر لمنهم وانعما"، لم يروه عن الهيثم، إلا حفص بن ابي داود، تفرد به ابو الربيع الزهراني
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those of lower ranks will look at those of higher ranks (in Paradise) just as you see the stars on the horizons of the sky, and Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) will be among them and will be in a very excellent position."
