Description of three important qualities of a believer
Hadith Number: 955
وبه قال: وبه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:"ثلاث من لم تكن فيه فليس مني ولا من الله، قيل: وما هن يا رسول الله؟، قال: حلم يرد به جهل جاهل، وحسن خلق يعيش به الناس، وورع يحجزه عن معاصي الله عز وجل"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not have three qualities cannot be of me, nor does he have any connection with Allah." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What are they? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(1) Courage with which he responds to the ignorance of the ignorant, (2) Good character with which he lives among people, (3) Piety that prevents him from disobeying Allah."
