Description of sustenance
Hadith Number: 956
حدثنا عبد الرزاق بن عقيل الاصبهاني ، ببغداد، حدثنا الحسن بن يزيد الجصاص البغدادي ، حدثنا إسماعيل بن يحيى التيمي ، عن مسعر بن كدام ، عن عطية ، عن ابي سعيد ، قال: سمعت رسول صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم، يقول:" إن الرزق لا تنقصه المعصية ولا تزيده الحسنة، وترك الدعاء معصية"، لم يروه عن مسعر، إلا إسماعيل
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Disobedience does not decrease sustenance, nor does righteousness increase it, and abandoning supplication is disobedience."
