Hadith Number: 1028
حدثنا محمد بن يعقوب بن إسماعيل الاعلم البغدادي ، حدثنا محمد بن سلام الجمحي ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن يونس بن عبيد ، وحميد عن الحسن ، عن ابي بكر ، ان رجلا، قال: يا رسول الله،"اي الناس خير؟، قال: من طال عمره، وحسن عمله، قال: واي الناس شر، قال: من طال عمره وساء عمله"، لم يروه عن يونس، إلا حماد
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Which person is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "The one whose life is long and whose deeds are good." He asked, "And who is bad?" He replied: "The one whose life is long and whose deeds are bad."
