Mujahid said that in the verse, those very three (fig) and olive, famous fruits are mentioned which people eat. «فما يكذبك‏» That is, what is the reason for you to deny that on the Day of Resurrection people will be recompensed for their deeds. As if it is said, who can say that you would begin to deny punishment and reward.
