The Book of Prayer
(بَيَانُ أَنَّ مَنْ جَاءَ لِلْجُمُعَةِ يَصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْجُلُوسِ)
(Explanation that one who comes for Friday prayer should pray two rak‘ahs before sitting)
Hadith Number: 1411
1411 - (وعن جابر قال: قال رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - إذا جاء احدكم يوم الجمعة والإمام يخطب فليركع ركعتين، وليتجوز فيهما. رواه مسلم).
Jabir reported God’s Messenger as saying in the course of a sermon,“When one of you comes on Friday while the imam is preaching, he should pray two rak'as and make them short.”Muslim transmitted it.
