The Book of Zakat
(الْإِنْفَاقُ عَلَى أَوْلَادِهِمْ أَيْضًا ثَوَابٌ)
(Spending on one’s children is also rewarded)
Hadith Number: 1933
1933 - وعن ام سلمة قالت: قلت: يا رسول الله الي اجر ان انفق على بني ابي سلمة، إنما هم بني؟ فقال:"انفقي عليهم، فلك اجر ما انفقت عليهم". متفق عليه.
Umm Salama said she asked God’s messenger whether she would have a reward for what she spent on Abu Salama’s sons, for they were only her sons, and he replied,“Spend on them and you will have the reward for what you spend on them.”(Bukhari and Muslim.)
