(حِصَّةُ الْخَيْلِ فِي مَالِ الْغَنِيمَةِ)
(The share of the horse in the spoils of war)
Hadith Number: 3987
3987 - وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما: ان رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - اسهم للرجل ولفرئسه ثلاثة اسهم : سهما له وسهمين لفرسه. متفق عليه.
Ibn ‘Umar told that God’s Messenger allotted three portions for a man and his horse, one for him and two for his horse. (Bukhari and Muslim.)
