The Book of Manners
(سَلِّمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ)
(Greet the people of the household)
Hadith Number: 4651
4651 - وعن قتادة - رضي الله عنه - قال: قال النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم:"إذا دخلتم بيتا فسلموا على اهله ، وإذا خرجتم فاودعوا اهله بسلام"رواه البيهقي في"شعب الإيمان"مرسلا.
Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you enter a house, greet its inhabitants with salam, and when you leave, bid farewell to its inhabitants with salam." Al-Bayhaqi has narrated it as a mursal hadith in Shu'ab al-Iman. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
