The Book of Merits
(الشَّيْخَانِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَشْرَفُ الأُمَّةِ كَالأُذُنَيْنِ وَالعَيْنَيْنِ)
(The two Sheikhs, may Allah be pleased with them, are the most noble in the nation, like ears and eyes)
Hadith Number: 6064
وعن عبد الله بن حنطب ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم راى ابا بكر وعمر فقال: «هذان السمع والبصر» رواه الترمذي مرسلا
`Abdallah b. Hantab told that the Prophet saw Abu Bakr and `Umar and said, "These are hearing and sight." Tirmidhi transmitted it in mursal form.
