حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Abdullah ibn Mughaffal al-Muzani from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 16797
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، وعبد الاعلى ، قالا: حدثنا سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" يقطع الصلاة المراة والكلب والحمار".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: If a woman, a dog, or a donkey passes in front of a person praying, the prayer is broken.

Hadith Number: 16798
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا ابو النضر ، قال: حدثنا المبارك ، عن الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من تبع جنازة حتى يصلي عليها، فله قيراط، ومن انتظرها حتى يفرغ منها فله قيراطان".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever accompanies a funeral and offers the funeral prayer will receive the reward of one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive the reward of two qirats.

Hadith Number: 16799
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا ابو النضر ، قال: حدثنا المبارك ، عن الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" صلوا في مرابض الغنم، ولا تصلوا في اعطان الإبل، فإنها خلقت من الشياطين".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: You may pray among the flocks of sheep, but you may not pray in the enclosures of camels, because their creation is from Satan (there is a satanic nature in them).

(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا زيد بن الحباب ، قال: حدثني حسين بن واقد ، قال: حدثني ثابت البناني ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل المزني ، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالحديبية في اصل الشجرة التي قال الله تعالى في القرآن، وكان يقع من اغصان تلك الشجرة على ظهر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وعلي بن ابي طالب، وسهيل بن عمرو بين يديه، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لعلي رضي الله تعالى عنه:" اكتب بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم سورة الفاتحة آية 1"، فاخذ سهيل بن عمرو بيده، فقال: ما نعرف بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم سورة الفاتحة آية 1، اكتب في قضيتنا ما نعرف، قال:" اكتب باسمك اللهم"، فكتب" هذا ما صالح عليه محمد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اهل مكة"، فامسك سهيل بن عمرو بيده، وقال: لقد ظلمناك إن كنت رسوله، اكتب في قضيتنا ما نعرف، فقال:" اكتب هذا ما صالح عليه محمد بن عبد الله ابن عبد المطلب، وانا رسول الله"، فكتب، فبينا نحن كذلك إذ خرج علينا ثلاثون شابا عليهم السلاح، فثاروا في وجوهنا، فدعا عليهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاخذ الله عز وجل بابصارهم، فقدمنا إليهم، فاخذناهم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" هل جئتم في عهد احد، او هل جعل لكم احد امانا؟"، فقالوا: لا، فخلى سبيلهم، فانزل الله عز وجل وهو الذي كف ايديهم عنكم وايديكم عنهم ببطن مكة من بعد ان اظفركم عليهم وكان الله بما تعملون بصيرا سورة الفتح آية 24، قال ابو عبد الرحمن: قال حماد بن سلمة في هذا الحديث: عن ثابت ، عن انس ، وقال حسين بن واقد عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، وهذا الصواب عندي إن شاء الله.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at Hudaybiyyah at the root of that tree which Allah Almighty has mentioned in the Qur'an. The branches of that tree were touching the blessed back of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Sayyiduna Ali and Suhail bin Amr were in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah honor his face: Write "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." So Suhail bin Amr held his hand and said, "We do not know the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful. Write in this matter only what we know." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Write 'In Your name, O Allah.'" Then Sayyiduna Ali wrote this phrase at the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This is the decision by which Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), made peace with the people of Makkah. Then Suhail bin Amr again held his hand and said, "If you are the Messenger of Allah, then we have wronged you. Write in this matter only what we know." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Even if I am the Messenger of Allah, still, you write: This is the decision by which Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib made peace with the people of Makkah." Meanwhile, thirty armed youths came from somewhere and attacked us. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed against them, so Allah took away their sight, and we advanced and let them go. And on this occasion, this verse was revealed: "Allah is the One Who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Makkah after He had given you victory over them. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do."

Hadith Number: 16801
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا سليمان بن حرب ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن سعيد الجريري ، عن ابي نعامة ، ان عبد الله بن مغفل سمع ابنا له، يقول: اللهم إني اسالك القصر الابيض من الجنة إذا دخلتها عن يميني، قال: فقال له: يا بني سل الله الجنة، وتعوذه من النار، فإني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" سيكون بعدي قوم من هذه الامة يعتدون في الدعاء والطهور".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal once heard his son making this supplication: "O Allah! I ask You for Jannat al-Firdaws and such-and-such things." So he said: "Son! Ask Allah only for Paradise and seek refuge from Hell, for I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that there will be some people in this Ummah who will exceed the limits in supplication and ablution."

Hadith Number: 16802
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، قال: اخبرنا يونس ، وحميد ، عن الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" إن الله عز وجل رفيق يحب الرفق، ويعطي على الرفق ما لا يعطي على العنف".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty is Merciful, He loves mercy, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness.

Hadith Number: 16803
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يونس ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم يعني ابن سعد ، عن عبيدة بن ابي رائطة ، عن عبد الرحمن بن زياد ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل المزني ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اصحابي لا تتخذوهم غرضا بعدي، فمن احبهم فبحبي احبهم، ومن ابغضهم فببغضي ابغضهم، ومن آذاهم فقد آذاني، ومن آذاني فقد آذى الله، ومن آذى الله اوشك ان ياخذه".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not make my companions a target of criticism after me. Whoever loves them, loves them because of my love, and whoever hates them, in fact hates them because of his hatred for me. Whoever hurts them, hurts me, and whoever hurts me, hurts Allah, and whoever hurts Allah, Allah will soon seize him.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، عبدالله بن عبدالرحمن مختلف فى اسمه، وهو مجهول
Hadith Number: 16804
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، قال: حدثنا ابو جعفر الرازي ، عن الربيع بن انس ، عن ابي العالية ، او عن غيره، عن عبد الله بن مغفل المزني ، قال: انا شهدت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حين نهى عن نبيذ الجر، وانا شهدته حين رخص فيه، قال:" واجتنبوا المسكر".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the use of nabidh (fermented drink) in pitchers, I was present there, and when he permitted it, I was also present there. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Avoid intoxicating substances.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، أبو جعفر الرازي قد اختلف فيه، وهو إلى الضعف أقرب لسوء حفظه ، ته من المكثري من الصحابة ولا يحتمل تفرده، ورواية أبى جعفر الرازي عن الربيع بن أنس مضطربة
Hadith Number: 16805
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا اسود بن عامر ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن يونس ، عن الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" إن الله رفيق يحب الرفق ويرضاه، ويعطي على الرفق ما لا يعطي على العنف".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty is Merciful, He loves mercy, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness.

Hadith Number: 16806
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن يونس ، عن الحسن ، عن عبد الله بن مغفل ، ان رجلا لقي امراة كانت بغيا في الجاهلية، فجعل يلاعبها حتى بسط يده إليها، فقالت المراة: مه، فإن الله عز وجل قد ذهب بالشرك وقال عفان مرة: ذهب بالجاهلية وجاءنا بالإسلام، فولى الرجل، فاصاب وجهه الحائط، فشجه، ثم اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاخبره، فقال:" انت عبد اراد الله بك خيرا، إذا اراد الله عز وجل بعبد خيرا عجل له عقوبة ذنبه، وإذا اراد بعبد شرا امسك عليه بذنبه حتى يوفى به يوم القيامة كانه عير".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the time of ignorance, there was a woman who was a professional prostitute. One day, a man met her and began to flirt with her. In the meantime, when he extended his hand towards her, she said, "Stay back! Allah Almighty has removed shirk and brought us the blessing of Islam." The man went back, and on the way, he collided with a wall and his face was injured. He presented himself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and narrated the whole incident. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has intended good for you, because when Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He hastens the punishment for his sin, and when He intends evil for a servant, He withholds his sin and will take full account of it on the Day of Resurrection, and he will feel like a donkey."
