Hadith of Khurashah ibn al-Harith, who was among the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 17522
حدثنا حسن ، حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن ابي حبيب ، عن خرشة بن الحارث وكان من اصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا يشهدن احدكم قتيلا، لعله ان يكون قتل ظلما فيصيبه السخط" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Khursha (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should remain present with a murdered person (at the time he is being killed), because it is possible that he was killed while being oppressed, and those present there may also incur the displeasure of Allah.
