حَدِیث اَبِی عَبدِ اللَّهِ رَجل مِن اَصحَابِ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَیهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Abu Abd Allah, a man from the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 17593
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة ، حدثنا الجريري ، عن ابي نضرة ، ان رجلا من اصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقال له: ابو عبد الله ، دخل عليه اصحابه يعودونه وهو يبكي، فقالوا له: ما يبكيك؟ الم يقل لك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" خذ من شاربك، ثم اقره حتى تلقاني؟" قال: بلى، ولكني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " إن الله عز وجل قبض بيمينه قبضة، واخرى باليد الاخرى، وقال: هذه لهذه، وهذه لهذه، ولا ابالي" فلا ادري في اي القبضتين انا .
Abu Nadrah reports that some companions came to visit a companion whose name was Abu Abdullah, and they saw that he was crying. They asked him the reason for his weeping and said, "Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) not say to you: Trim your mustaches, and keep doing so until you meet me?" He replied, "Why not, but I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: Allah, the Exalted, took a handful of dust with His right hand and another handful with His other hand and said, 'This handful is for the people of Paradise and this handful is for the people of Hell, and I do not care.' Now I do not know in which handful I was."

حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، قال: اخبرنا سعيد الجريري ، عن ابي نضرة ، قال: مرض رجل من اصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فدخل عليه اصحابه يعودونه، فبكى، فقيل له: ما يبكيك يا ابا عبد الله ؟ الم يقل لك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" خذ من شاربك، ثم اقره حتى تلقاني؟" قال: بلى، ولكني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " إن الله عز وجل قبض قبضة بيمينه، وقال: هذه لهذه، ولا ابالي. وقبض قبضة اخرى بيده الاخرى جل وعلا، فقال هذه لهذه، ولا ابالي" فلا ادري في اي القبضتين انا .
