Hadith of Ikrimah ibn Khalid al-Makhzumi, from his father, or from his uncle, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 17595
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة ، عن عكرمة بن خالد ، عن ابيه ، او عن عمه ، عن جده ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال في غزوة تبوك: " إذا كان الطاعون بارض وانتم بها، فلا تخرجوا عنها، وإذا كان بارض ولستم بها، فلا تقربوها" .
It is narrated from the grandfather of Ikrimah bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk: When a plague spreads in an area and you are already present there, then do not leave that place, and if this epidemic spreads in your absence, then do not enter that area.
