Musnad of the Syrians
حَدِيثُ أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهَا
Hadith of Umm Ma'qil al-Asadiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith Number: 17838
حدثنا ابو النضر ، حدثنا داود يعني العطار ، عن عمرو بن يحيى ، عن ابي زيد مولى ثعلبة، عن معقل بن ابي معقل الاسدي ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى ان نستقبل القبلتين ببول او غائط" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from facing the Qiblah while urinating or defecating.

Hadith Number: 17839
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن هشام ، حدثنا يحيى بن ابي كثير ، عن ابي سلمة ، عن معقل بن ام معقل الاسدية ، قال: ارادت امي الحج، وكان جملها اعجف، فذكر ذلك للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: " اعتمري في رمضان، فإن عمرة في رمضان كحجة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that once my mother intended to perform Hajj, but her camel was very weak. When this matter was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: Perform Umrah in Ramadan, for performing Umrah in Ramadan is like Hajj.

Hadith Number: 17840
حدثنا عفان ، قال: حدثنا وهيب ، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن يحيى ، عن ابي زيد ، عن معقل بن ابي معقل الاسدي ، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان تستقبل القبلتان بغائط او بول" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade facing the Qiblah while sitting for urination or defecation.

Hadith Number: 17841
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا وهيب ، حدثنا عمرو بن يحيى ، عن ابي زيد ، عن معقل بن ابي معقل ، انه قال: يا رسول الله، إن ام معقل فاتها الحج معك، قال: فخرجت حين فاتها الحج معك. قال: " فلتعتمر في رمضان، فإن عمرة في رمضان كحجة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) My father missed Hajj in your company, which has caused him great sorrow." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You should perform Umrah in Ramadan, for performing Umrah in Ramadan is like Hajj."
