حَدِيثُ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Ya'la ibn Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 17968
حدثنا وكيع ، عن ابن ابي ليلى ، عن عطاء ، عن يعلى بن امية ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن الله عز وجل يحب الحياء والستر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty likes modesty and concealment.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لانقطاعه، عطاء لم يسمع من يعلى، وابن أبى ليلي ضعيف
Hadith Number: 17969
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابن جريج ، عن ابن يعلى ، عن ابيه ،" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لما قدم طاف بالبيت وهو مضطبع ببرد له حضرمي" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing idtiba' with the sheet of death (i.e., the upper garment), (in the state of ihram, with the cloth removed from the right shoulder).

حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد منقطع، ابن جريج لم يسمعه من أبن يعلى، وقد دلسه عنه
Hadith Number: 17970
حدثنا اسود بن عامر ، حدثنا ابو بكر بن عياش ، عن عبد الملك بن ابي سليمان ، عن عطاء ، عن صفوان بن يعلى بن امية ، عن ابيه ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن الله عز وجل حيي ستير، فإذا اراد احدكم ان يغتسل، فليتوارى بشيء" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty is very modest and concealing, so when any one of you intends to take a bath, he should cover himself with something.
