حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man from Bakr ibn Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 18904
حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، عن سفيان ، عن عطاء يعني ابن السائب ، عن رجل من بكر بن وائل، عن خاله ، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، اعشر قومي؟ فقال: " إنما العشور على اليهود والنصارى، وليس على الإسلام عشور" .
A man from Bakr bin Wa'il narrates from his maternal uncle that once I submitted in the court of Prophethood, "O Messenger of Allah! I collect tax from my people." The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Tax is imposed on the Jews and Christians; there is no tax on Muslims."
