حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ آخَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of another man (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20588
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا عثمان بن غياث ، قال: سمعت ابا السليل قال: كان رجل من اصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يحدث الناس حتى يكثر عليه، فيصعد على ظهر بيت فيحدث الناس، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اي آية في القرآن اعظم؟" قال: فقال رجل الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم سورة البقرة آية 255، قال فوضع يده بين كتفي، قال: فوجدت بردها بين ثديي، او قال فوضع يده بين ثديي فوجدت بردها بين كتفي، قال:" يهنك يا ابا المنذر، العلم العلم" .
Abu Salil says that a companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was narrating hadiths to the people. As the number of people increased, he began to sit on the roof of the house and narrate hadiths. He said: One day the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked the people, "Which is the greatest verse in the Qur'an?" A man said, "Ayat al-Kursi." That companion says: Upon hearing my answer, the Prophet (peace be upon him) placed his blessed hand between my two shoulders, the coolness of which I felt in my chest, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "O Abu Mundhir, may knowledge be blessed for you."
