It is narrated from a companion that once I was riding a donkey behind the Prophet (peace be upon him). Suddenly, the donkey shied, and I uttered, "May the devil be ruined." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Do not say this, because when you say this phrase, the devil considers himself very great and says, 'I have overpowered him with my strength.' But when you say 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah), he becomes so insignificant in his own eyes that he becomes even smaller than a fly."
