حَدِيثُ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 23320
حدثنا إسماعيل بن عمر ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن عاصم ، عن زر ، عن حذيفة ، قال: " لم يصل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيت المقدس، ولو صلى فيه، لكتب عليكم صلاة نبيكم صلى الله عليه وسلم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pray in Bayt al-Maqdis. If the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had prayed there, then that prayer would have become obligatory upon you as well.

Hadith Number: 23321
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن الزبير ، وابو نعيم , قالا: حدثنا الوليد يعني ابن جميع ، قال ابو نعيم: عن ابي الطفيل مثل جميع حدثنا ابو الطفيل، قال: كان بين حذيفة وبين رجل من اهل العقبة ما يكون بين الناس، فقال: انشدك الله كم كان اصحاب العقبة؟ فقال له القوم: اخبره إذ سالك، قال: إن كنا نخبر انهم اربعة عشر، وقال ابو نعيم: فقال الرجل: كنا نخبر انهم اربعة عشر، قال: فإن كنت منهم، وقال ابو نعيم: فيهم فقد كان القوم خمسة عشر، واشهد بالله ان اثني عشر منهم حرب لله ولرسوله في الحياة الدنيا ويوم يقوم الاشهاد، قال ابو احمد: الاشهاد وعدنا ثلاثة، قالوا: ما سمعنا منادي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وما علمنا ما اراد القوم، قال ابو احمد في حديثه: وقد كان في حرة فمشى، فقال للناس: " إن الماء قليل، فلا يسبقني إليه احد"، فوجد قوما قد سبقوه، فلعنهم يومئذ .
Abu Tufail says that there was a minor dispute between Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) and a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) who participated in the Pledge of Aqabah, just as happens among people. He asked, "I ask you by Allah, how many people participated in the Pledge of Aqabah?" The people said to Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him), "Since he is asking you, please tell him." He replied, "We have been informed that they were fourteen men. If you are also included among them, then their number becomes fifteen. And I swear by Allah that among them, twelve men are warriors for Allah and His Messenger in this worldly life and on the Day when witnesses will rise. And he excused three people, who said that they had not heard the announcement of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) caller and did not know what the people wanted." This is clarified in Abu Ahmad's hadith, that once, in the intense heat of summer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out and told the people, "There is very little water, so no one should reach that place before me." But when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived there, he saw that some people had already reached before him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed and reproached them.

Hadith Number: 23322
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن الزبير ، حدثنا سعد بن اوس ، عن بلال العبسي ، عن حذيفة ، قال: " ما اخبية بعد اخبية كانت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اكثر يدفع عنها من المكروه، اكثر من اخبية وضعت في هذه البقعة" . وقال: " إنكم اليوم معشر العرب لتاتون امورا إنها لفي عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم النفاق على وجهه" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that after those tents, there were no tents left like the ones that were with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Badr, and no one else was defended as they were defended. And whenever any people intended evil against them, something or the other would occupy them with themselves. And he said: O group of Arabs! Nowadays people are saying such things which, in the time of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to consider as "hypocrisy."

Hadith Number: 23323
حدثنا حسن ، عن حماد بن سلمة ، عن حماد بن ابي سليمان ، عن ربعي بن حراش ، عن حذيفة بن اليمان ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " يخرج قوم من النار بعد ما محشتهم النار، يقال لهم: الجهنميون" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A people will come out of Hell when the fire has scorched them; they will be called "Jahannami" (the people of Hell).

Hadith Number: 23324
حدثنا حسن ، وعفان , قالا: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن عثمان البتي ، عن نعيم ، قال عفان في حديثه: ابن ابي هند، عن حذيفة، قال: اسندت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى صدري، فقال: " من قال: لا إله إلا الله، قال حسن: ابتغاء وجه الله، ختم له بها دخل الجنة، ومن صام يوما ابتغاء وجه الله ختم له بها، دخل الجنة، ومن تصدق بصدقة ابتغاء وجه الله ختم له بها، دخل الجنة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I had made my chest a pillow for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever (for the pleasure of Allah) affirms "La ilaha illallah" and his life ends upon this affirmation, he will enter Paradise. And whoever fasts for one day for the pleasure of Allah and his end comes upon this, he will also enter Paradise. And whoever gives charity for the pleasure of Allah and his end comes upon this, he will also enter Paradise.

Hadith Number: 23325
حدثنا هاشم ، حدثنا مهدي ، عن واصل الاحدب ، عن ابي وائل ، قال: بلغ حذيفة عن رجل انه ينم الحديث قال حذيفة : سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " لا يدخل الجنة نمام" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The tale-bearer will not enter Paradise."

Hadith Number: 23326
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا حماد ، حدثنا عاصم بن بهدلة ، عن زر ، عن حذيفة ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " انزل القرآن على سبعة احرف" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying that the Noble Qur'an was revealed upon seven letters.

Hadith Number: 23327
حدثنا ابو سعيد مولى بني هاشم، حدثنا سليمان بن بلال ، عن عمرو بن ابي عمرو ، عن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن احد بني عبد الاشهل، عن حذيفة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" والذي نفسي بيده، لتامرن بالمعروف، ولتنهون عن المنكر، او ليبعثن عليكم قوما، ثم تدعونه، فلا يستجاب لكم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, you must enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, otherwise Allah will send such a punishment upon you that you will supplicate to Allah but your supplications will not be accepted.

Hadith Number: 23328
حدثنا ابو المغيرة ، حدثنا صفوان ، حدثنا السفر بن نسير الازدي ، وغيره , عن حذيفة بن اليمان ، انه قال: يا رسول الله، إنا كنا في شر، فذهب الله بذلك الشر، وجاء بالخير على يديك، فهل بعد الخير من شر؟ قال:" نعم"، قال: ما هو؟ قال: " فتن كقطع الليل المظلم، يتبع بعضها بعضا، تاتيكم مشتبهة كوجوه البقر، لا تدرون ايا من اي" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he submitted to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! We were in evil, Allah removed it through you, and through your hands, He made goodness prevail. Will there be evil after this goodness as well? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes! He asked: What will it be like? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will appear tribulations like the portions of a dark night, which will come one after another, and confusion will prevail over you just as the faces of cows resemble each other, and you will not be able to distinguish one from another.

Hadith Number: 23329
حدثنا حسين بن محمد ، حدثنا إسرائيل ، عن ميسرة بن حبيب ، عن المنهال بن عمرو ، عن زر بن حبيش ، عن حذيفة ، قال: سالتني امي منذ متى عهدك بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: فقلت لها: منذ كذا وكذا، قال: فنالت مني وسبتني قال: فقلت لها: دعيني، فإني آتي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاصلي معه المغرب، ثم لا ادعه حتى يستغفر لي ولك، قال: فاتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فصليت معه المغرب، فصلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم العشاء، ثم انفتل فتبعته، فعرض له عارض فناجاه، ثم ذهب، فاتبعته فسمع صوتي، فقال:" من هذا؟" فقلت: حذيفة، قال:" ما لك؟"، فحدثته بالامر، فقال:" غفر الله لك ولامك"، ثم قال: " اما رايت العارض الذي عرض لي قبيل؟"، قال: قلت: بلى، قال:" فهو ملك من الملائكة لم يهبط الارض قبل هذه الليلة، فاستاذن ربه ان يسلم علي، ويبشرني ان الحسن والحسين سيدا شباب اهل الجنة، وان فاطمة سيدة نساء اهل الجنة رضي الله عنهم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once my mother asked me, "Since when have you been associated with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" I told her an approximate time. She began to scold and reproach me harshly. I said to her, "Step aside, I am going to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); I will perform the Maghrib prayer with him and will not leave him until he seeks forgiveness for both me and you." So I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and performed the Maghrib prayer with him. After that, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the 'Isha prayer and then returned. I followed behind him. On the way, a man met him, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to talk with him. When he left, I started walking behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard my footsteps and asked, "Who is it?" I replied, "Hudhaifa." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What is the matter?" I narrated the whole incident. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "May Allah forgive you and your mother." Then he said, "Did you ever see the person on earth whom I just met a little while ago?" I replied, "Why not?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He was an angel who had never descended to earth before tonight. He sought permission from the Lord to come and greet me and to give the glad tidings that Hasan and Husain are the leaders of the youth of Paradise, and Fatimah is the leader of the women of Paradise."
