Hadiths of Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him)
Inheritance for full brothers and prohibition for maternal brothers
Hadith Number: 55
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابو إسحاق ، عن الحارث ، عن علي : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " قضى ان اعيان بني الام يتوارثون دون بني العلات" .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave this ruling: Full (paternal) brothers will inherit from one another. Maternal (uterine) brothers will not inherit from one another.
