Narration on Two Rak’ahs of Fajr and Conversation
Hadith Number: 175
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابو النضر ، عن ابي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن عائشة ، قالت:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي ركعتي الفجر فإن كنت مستيقظة حدثني، وإلا اضطجع حتى يقوم إلى الصلاة" .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform two rak'ahs of Fajr (i.e., the Sunnah prayers). If I was awake, he would converse with me, otherwise, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would lie down until he went to perform the (congregational) Fajr prayer.
