Narration on Two Short Rak’ahs of Fajr
Hadith Number: 181
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن ، عن عمرة ، عن عائشة , انها قالت:" إن كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليصلي ركعتي الفجر، فاقول: هل قرا فيهما بفاتحة الكتاب من التخفيف؟" .
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the two rak'ahs of Fajr so briefly that I would wonder whether he had recited Surah al-Fatihah in them? That is, they were that brief.
