Hadith Number: 239
حدثنا محمد بن عثمان بن صفوان الجمحي ، قال: حدثنا هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة ، قالت: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " ما خالطت الصدقة مالا قط إلا اهلكته , قال: قد يكون قد وجب عليك في مالك صدقة، فلا تخرجها فيهلك الحرام الحلال" .
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: She heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Charity (i.e., zakat wealth) when mixed with any other wealth destroys it." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sometimes zakat becomes obligatory upon your wealth, and if you do not give it, the unlawful destroys the lawful."
