حدثنا سفيان ، قال: ثنا يزيد بن ابي زياد , انه سمع سليمان بن عمرو بن الاحوص يحدث، عن امه ، قالت: رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يرمي الجمرة من بطن الوادي وهو على بغلة، وهو يقول:" ايها الناس! عليكم السكينة، لا يقتل بعضكم بعضا، وعليكم مثل حصى الخذف" .
Sulaiman bin Amruwah narrates from his mother: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) throwing pebbles at the Jamrah from the bottom of the valley. He (peace be upon him) was riding a mule and was saying: "O people! Remain calm, do not cause hardship to one another, and it is obligatory upon you to use such (small) pebbles that can be held in a pinch."
