Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: That person informed me who was present with Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) at the time of his death. Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Move the curtain of the tent to one side so that I may narrate to you a hadith which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I did not narrate this hadith to you before lest you become negligent in acting upon it. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever recites «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ» with sincerity of heart (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) with certainty of heart, will enter Paradise. The Fire will not touch him."
