Hadith Number: 1037
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا الزهري ، قال: اخبرني ابو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا، غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه، ومن قام ليلة القدر إيمانا واحتسابا، غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins are forgiven. And whoever stands in prayer during the Night of Qadr with faith and seeking reward, his past sins are forgiven."
