Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached "Khaybar" on the morning of Thursday. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived there, the people of the place had opened the gate of the fortress and were coming out with their spades and other tools. When those people saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they ran back towards their fortress and said: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his army have come, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his army have come. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both his hands and said: "Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend into the battlefield of a people, then very evil is the morning for those who have been warned."
