Hadith Number: 1327
حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابن جريج ، عن عطاء بن ابي رباح ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا ترقبوا ولا تعمروا، فمن ارقب شيئا او اعمره فهو سبيل الميراث" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Do not give anything as Ruqba, and do not give anything as Umra. Whoever gives something as Ruqba or Umra, then the rules of inheritance will apply to it."
