Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib
بَابُ عَمَلِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى وُجُوبِ الْوُضُوءِ بَعْدَ أَكْلِ مَا مَسَّتْهُ النَّارُ
Chapter: The action of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding the obligation of ablution after eating what has been touched by fire
Hadith Number: 25
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عبد الحكم ، حدثني ابي ، عن بكر بن مضر ، عن جعفر بن ربيعة ، عن بكر بن سوادة ، عن محمد بن مسلم بن شهاب ، عن عمر بن عبد العزيز ، عن عبد الله بن إبراهيم بن قارظ ، قال: رايت ابا هريرة يتوضا على ظهر المسجد، وقد اكل اثوار اقط فتوضا، فقلت: تتوضا من اثوار اقط؟ فقال: إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " توضئوا مما مست النار" .
Abdullah bin Ibrahim bin Qariz Zahri narrated: I saw Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution on the roof of the mosque, when he had eaten pieces of cheese, so he performed ablution. I asked: Do you perform ablution after eating cheese? He replied: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying, "Perform ablution after eating anything cooked on fire."
