Chapter 135: Permissibility of washing some parts of ablution even times, some odd
Hadith Number: 172
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution, he washed his blessed face three times, and washed both hands twice, and washed both feet twice, and wiped his head, and I think he said, and cleaned his nose.

Hadith Number: 173
Hazrat Amr bin Yahya Mazni narrates from his respected father that he said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the grandfather of Amr bin Yahya, "Can you show me how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution?" So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Yes (I can show you)." Therefore, he called for water (for ablution), poured water over his hands and washed his hands twice, then rinsed his mouth three times and cleaned his nose, then washed his face three times, then washed his arms up to and including the elbows twice each, then wiped his head by moving both hands from the front to the back and from the back to the front, starting the wiping from the forehead, then took them to the nape of the neck, then returned them to the place where he had started, then washed both his feet. Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this is the complete wiping and I prefer it more.
