Chapters on Wiping over Leather Socks
Chapter 154: Evidence that the Prophet’s wiping over sandals was in voluntary ablution, not obligatory
Hadith Number: 200
Ubaid Khair narrates from our master Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked for a vessel of water, then performed a light ablution with it, then wiped over his shoes, then said: The ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for a person who is pure (in a state of ablution) was like this, as long as his ablution is not broken.
