(155) بَابُ ذِكْرِ أَخْبَارٍ رُوِيَتْ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الرِّجْلَيْنِ مُجْمَلَةً،
Chapter 155: Reports on the Prophet’s wiping over the feet, in general
Hadith Number: Q201
غلط في الاحتجاج بها بعض من لم ينعم الروية في الاخبار، واباح للمحدث المسح على الرجلين.
Those scholars who do not have deep insight into hadith have erred in taking evidence from them, and they have declared it permissible for a person whose ablution has been invalidated to wipe over both feet.

Hadith Number: 201
نا ابو زهير عبد المجيد بن إبراهيم المصري ، نا المقرئ ، نا سعيد بن ابي ايوب ، عن ابي الاسود وهو محمد بن عبد الرحمن مولى آل نوفل يتيم عروة بن الزبير، عن عباد بن تميم ، عن ابيه ، قال: رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " يتوضا ويمسح الماء على رجليه" . قال ابو بكر: خبر نافع، عن ابن عمر من هذا الباب
Ubadah bin Tamim narrates from his father, who says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performing ablution and wiping over the tops of his feet with water. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the narration of Nafi’ from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) is also in this chapter.
