Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ
Chapters on Adhan and Iqamah
(156) بَابُ التَّحْمِيدِ مَعَ التَّسْبِيحِ، وَمَسْأَلَةِ اللَّهِ الْغُفْرَانَ فِي الرُّكُوعِ.
Chapter 156: Praising and glorifying Allah, and asking forgiveness in bowing
Hadith Number: 605
نا يعقوب بن إبراهيم الدورقي ، ويوسف بن موسى ، قالا: حدثنا جرير ، عن منصور ، عن ابي الضحى ، عن مسروق ، عن عائشة ، قالت: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يكثر، ان يقول في ركوعه وسجوده:" سبحانك اللهم ربنا وبحمدك، اللهم اغفر لي، يتاول القرآن" . نا سلم بن جنادة ، نا وكيع ، عن سفيان ، عن منصور بهذا، وقال: مما يكثر، ان يقول:" سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك"
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would often recite this supplication in his bowing and prostrations: «سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيْ» "O Allah, O our Lord, You are pure and holy with Your praise. O Allah, forgive me." (In this way) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would interpret the Qur'an. The Imam narrates this tradition from his respected teacher, Janab Salm bin Junadah, and stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would frequently recite this supplication, «سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ» .
