Hadith Number: 1033
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Whoever forgets something in his prayer should perform two prostrations while sitting." Abu Musa has mentioned the name of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far's student as 'Uqbah bin Muhammad bin Harith. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that there is a difference among the companions of Ibn Jurayj regarding the name of this shaykh ('Uqbah bin Muhammad). Hajjaj bin Muhammad and 'Abdur Razzaq have mentioned his name as 'Uqbah bin Muhammad. To my knowledge, this is correct. There is a difference among the companions of Ibn Jurayj regarding the name.
