جماع أَبْوَابِ الْأَفْعَالِ الْمُبَاحَةِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ غَيْرِ الصَّلَاةِ وَذِكْرِ اللَّهِ

(619) بَابُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ السَّهَرِ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ بِلَفْظٍ عَامٍّ مُرَادُهُ خَاصٌّ
The chapter on the prohibition of staying up after Isha, with a general phrase meant specifically
Hadith Number: 1339
نا هلال بن بشر ، نا عبد الوهاب بن عبد المجيد ، حدثنا خالد ، عن ابي المنهال ، عن ابي برزة : ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان " يكره النوم قبل العشاء، ولا يحب الحديث بعدها" قال ابو بكر في خبر شقيق، عن عبد الله، قال: " جدب لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم السمر بعد العتمة"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to like sleeping before ‘Isha and did not like talking after ‘Isha. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the narration of Janab Shaqiq bin Abdullah, these words are present: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it severely blameworthy for us to talk after ‘Isha.

Hadith Number: 1340
نا إسحاق بن إبراهيم بن حبيب بن الشهيد ، نا محمد بن فضيل ، وحدثنا يوسف بن موسى ، حدثنا جرير ، كلاهما عن عطاء بن السائب ، عن شقيق ، عن عبد الله ، قال: سمعت محمد بن معمر، يقول: قال عبد الصمد:" يعني بالجدب الذم"
Imam Sahib narrates with his chain from Janab Abdul Samad, who says that the meaning of "Jadaba" is to criticize, to declare as blameworthy.
