Lady Umm Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made preparations for Hajj and ordered the people to prepare for Hajj along with him. Lady Umm Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) set out for Hajj and the noble companions also went with him for Hajj. Then when he returned, I came to him and he (peace be upon him) said: "O Umm Ma'qil, why did you not go with us on this Hajj of ours?" I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), I had made preparations, but then illness overtook us, in which Abu Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away and I also became ill. We had a camel on which we intended to go for Hajj, but Abu Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) made a bequest to dedicate it in the way of Allah." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "So why did you not ride that camel? Hajj is also included in the way of Allah."
