جماع أَبْوَابِ قَسْمِ الْصَّدَقَاتِ وَذِكْرِ أَهْلِ سُهْمَانِهَا

(103) بَابُ ذِكْرِ تَحْرِيمِ الصَّدَقَةِ عَلَى الْأَصِحَّاءِ الْأَقْوِيَاءِ عَلَى الْكَسْبِ،
103 Subchapter: Prohibition of charity for healthy, able-bodied people
Hadith Number: Q2387
والاغنياء بكسبهم عن الصدقات، وإن لم يكونوا اغنياء بمال يملكونه، بذكر خبر مجمل غير مفسر
And it is also forbidden to give zakat to those people who, through their own earnings, can remain independent of zakat, even if they are not wealthy in terms of their wealth and property. In this regard, a concise, non-detailed narration is mentioned.

Hadith Number: 2387
حدثنا عبد الجبار بن العلاء ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن منصور ، عن ابي حازم ، عن ابي هريرة ، يبلغ به: " لا تحل الصدقة لغني، ولا ذي مرة سوي"
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a wealthy person and a strong, healthy man to take zakat money."
