(113) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ الْكَبْشَ الَّذِي قُضِيَ بِهِ جَزَاءً لِلضَّبُعِ هُوَ الْمُسِنُّ مِنْهُ لَا مَا دُونَ الْمُسِنِّ
Chapter: Evidence that the ram given as compensation for a hyena must be mature, not young

حدثنا محمد بن ابي موسى الخرشي ، حدثنا حسان بن إبراهيم ، حدثنا إبراهيم الصائغ ، عن عطاء ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " الضبع صيد، فإذا اصابه المحرم، ففيه جزاء كبش مسن، وتوكل"
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The badger is game; when a Muhrim hunts it, its expiation is a two-toothed ram, which will be eaten."
