جماع أَبْوَابِ ذِكْرِ أَفْعَالٍ اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي إِبَاحَتِهِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ، نَصَّتْ سُنَّةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ دَلَّتْ عَلَى إِبَاحَتِهَا

(179) بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ أَنْ يَرْزُقَ اللَّهُ الدَّاعِيَ الْقَنَاعَةَ بِمَا رَزَقَ، وَيُبَارِكَ لَهُ فِيهِ، وَيُخْلِفَ عَلَى كُلِّ غَائِبَةٍ لَهُ بِخَيْرٍ
Chapter: Supplication between the two corners for contentment, blessing, and good return for what is lost
Hadith Number: 2728
حدثنا نصر بن مرزوق المصري ، حدثنا اسد يعني ابن موسى السنة ، حدثنا سعيد بن زيد ، حدثنا عطاء بن السائب ، حدثنا سعيد بن جبير ، قال: كان ابن عباس ، يقول: احفظوا هذا الحديث، وكان يرفعه إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وكان يدعو به بين الركنين:" رب قنعني بما رزقتني وبارك لي فيه، واخلف على كل غائبة لي بخير"
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: Memorize this hadith well. He narrated it from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate between the two corners «اللَّهُمَّ قَنَّعْنِي بِمَا رَزَقْتَنِي، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ، وَاخْلُفْ عَلَيَّ كُلَّ غَائِبَةٍ بِخَيْرٍ » “O my Lord, grant me contentment in the provision You have given me, and bless me in it, and be a guardian with goodness and well-being over everything of mine that is absent.”
